VOLUNTEER
As a volunteer in Zanzibar with you’ll be playing an important role in helping to build up our educational project. Volunteering on our beautiful island allows you to give back to the people in need, while exploring the amazing landscapes and zanzibarian interesting culture.
Our volunteer placements are available all year round and open to anyone.
Zanzibar is much more than you see in the documentaries. The island is one of the most fascinating and unique areas to volunteer your time.
While your primary role is to volunteer in our school, you will also have free time, giving you the opportunity to travel and tour the island.
Our schoolis for the moment understaffed and poorly resourced, but you can help to improve this situation by volunteering your time in the classroom.
Even if you will find that the only tools you have are a blackboard and a piece of chalk, it can be both challenging and exciting, as you have the freedom to use your creativity and think outside the box.
Whatever skills and talents you have, teaching in our school offers a rewarding combination of the new, exciting, and life-changing, as well as the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.
